We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Senior Director of Compliance to oversee the compliance of all marketing activities and ensure adherence to marketing regulations across our organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, regulatory expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the integrity of our marketing practices. The Senior Director of Compliance will serve as the organization's expert on marketing regulations and will develop, implement, and manage compliance strategies to mitigate risk and ensure the company's marketing initiatives are fully compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Oversee the compliance of all marketing activities, including advertising, promotions, digital marketing, and customer communications, ensuring adherence to marketing regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Monitor and interpret evolving marketing regulations, including data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), FTC guidelines, advertising standards, and industry-specific requirements.
Lead the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the company's marketing practices remain compliant with relevant regulations.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments of marketing activities, identifying potential compliance risks and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with the legal, marketing, and product teams to provide guidance on regulatory requirements and ensure marketing strategies are developed in compliance with applicable laws.
Train and educate marketing teams on compliance best practices, regulatory updates, and how to avoid non-compliant marketing activities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors, managing compliance investigations, inquiries, and reporting as required.
Stay informed of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the compliance landscape to proactively adjust the company’s compliance framework.
Lead and mentor a compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical marketing practices across the organization.
Report regularly to executive leadership on compliance metrics, risk management, and any regulatory changes that may impact the company's marketing activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is a plus.
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a regulatory environment, with a focus on marketing, advertising, or consumer protection regulations.
Proven experience in overseeing marketing compliance programs within regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or technology).
Strong knowledge of marketing laws and regulations, including data privacy laws, advertising standards, and consumer protection laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate compliance requirements to non-legal teams.
Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
